Welcome to the Monrovia Parks, Wilderness and Recreation Foundation site

From the Covid-19 pandemic to the Bobcat Fire, the incredible value of our parks and open space has become even more clear.

Now more than ever, we realize the importance of spending time outside and in nature to help clear our minds, renew our souls and provide opportunities for exercise and community engagement.

As Monrovian’s eagerly look forward to the re-opening of Canyon Park, we continue to work with the city to identify projects to enhance the recovery as well enhance all of our parks, wilderness preserve and recreation programs ensuring the Gem City of the Foothills has the resources, facilities and programs to enhance the quality of life for all Monrovians.

The Monrovia Parks, Wilderness and Recreation Foundation (MPWR) is a non-profit foundation lead by a dedicated board comprised of passionate Monrovia residents who take no salary to ensure donations are maximized giving back to our community.
