• September 23, Wednesday – 10 AM to 10 PM: Max’s Mexican Cuisine Food Fundraiser. Come down to Max’s Mexican Cuisine on Wednesday, Sept. 23, between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. to eat, show the flyer below or tell your server about the fundraiser, and 20% of your purchase will be donated to MPWR.

• September 26, Saturday – 8 AM. Yoga in the Park returns! Join MPWR, in association with Sal Chavez of Lead the Way Fitness, for Yoga in the Park on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 8:00 a.m. This event will be held at Library Park, 321 S. Myrtle Ave. Suggested $5 donation. Please note that mats will NOT be provided. Bring water, yoga mat, bug spray/sunscreen, a towel and a great attitude. Please arrive by 7:45 a.m. to sign in and set up.

• September 26, Saturday – 10 AM to 1 PM: Kids Craft in the Canyon. MPWR is proud to sponsor this monthly event so it remains free and open to anyone! Create fun memories with your little ones at the Kids Craft in the Canyon program on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.! Explore nature and turn discoveries into amazing art. Park naturalists will be there to help you every step of the way. No registration required. This program is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Snacks will be provided.

• September 27, Sunday 9 AM to 10:30 AM: Bird Walk in Monrovia Canyon Park. Join local expert Karen Suarez, on a Bird Walk in Monrovia Canyon Park on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Monrovia Canyon Park is located at 1200 N. Canyon Blvd. No experience needed. We will have binoculars, but please bring them if you have them. Please RSVP here. This event is sponsored by MPWR.

• October 22, Thursday 6 PM to 8:30 PM: MPWR Fall Event “Evening in Canyon”. Join us for a magical evening in Monrovia Canyon Park on Oct. 22, starting at 6:00 p.m. Highlights will include live music, an amazing charcuterie table, a catered buffet dinner, dessert, wine, and refreshments. The event will be held at the beautiful Monrovia Canyon Park Nature Center and Picnic Area.

This event has a limited ticket count and sold out in just five days last year, so we suggest you purchase tickets as soon as possible so you don’t miss out!Purchase tickets here. Tickets are $80.00, advanced purchase only. (Must purchase tickets by Oct. 16.) Proceeds will support the Monrovia Parks, Wilderness, and Recreation Foundation (MPWR).
